Backend developer in Copenhagen.
Since June 2024 I have written Java and Spring Boot for reporting systems in the Danish tax domain. I am open to a backend role in Copenhagen, or remote inside Denmark.
The services sit on PostgreSQL. I write their tests in Spock and Geb, with WireMock standing in for the services I do not control, and Jenkins builds the Docker images that run on Kubernetes under Rancher. A good share of the work is on what already runs: version upgrades, dependency migrations, CVE remediation. I write the Vue and TypeScript where the work reaches a browser.
The rules I implement are written down by somebody else, in law, and my job is to make the system agree with them. A deduction computed wrongly leaves the system as a letter with a number on it, addressed to somebody.
Before software I worked as an occupational therapist, until 2020.
